There is an assumption that if you had a negative belief for a long time it will take a long time to change it. The reality is that most of the time, changing a belief is like changing the software in a personal computer. It doesn't take any longer to change a program that has been in your computer for thirty years than it does to change one that has been in there for thirty minutes - if you know how to rewrite the software of your mind.
